First five things

Last week I luckily had a short working week due to Ascension Day, which was highly appreciated - although I just had one week off. I planned some things, like buying a couch and a vacuum cleaner (since my old one spit out fire and ever since I don’t want to use it anymore), wash my car, clean my apartment, do laundry, to name a few things on my list. I thought I would get a lot of things done, but I hung around a lot, especially in front of the laptop. Nevertheless, I went out and met with friends. Since I didn’t find the perfect vacuum cleaner, cleaning was a little limited .. I did most with my Black & Decker (which is a little exhausting) and then doing a lot by hand .. And although I went to three furniture stores, I only ended up buying some decorative things. Plus, my car is still dirty, especially since I parked it at work overnight under a big tree .. now it’s all sticky! :(

For the rest, I have been having a rough week so far .. sleeping really badly, thinking way too much, having long hours at work – seems like I’m falling back into the old routine – and my Excel kept crashing down (Monday I worked until 10pm w/o a break, Tuesday 9pm, Wednesday 8pm and I missed squash – again). I thought I was expecting visitors this weekend, because I could really use a little distraction and something to look forward to, but sometimes unforeseen things happen that cross your roads or are not meant to be .. ENOUGH COMPLAINING. I’m sick of me whining all the time .. doesn’t help anyway, so gotta move on without wasting time and having no regrets!

And since it’s Friday, I came up with 5 things that make me happy or that I look forward to adapted from Emily: 

1. I just stumpled upon the “Next Blog” button .. which shows random blogs from strangers

For rainy or boring days ..

2. Yay, another short week ahead, which makes me wanna listen to Bruno Mars’ “Lazy song” 

3. A friend will visit me next weekend .. happy to show him around and explore my new home city at the same time!

4. Mango Discount .. will go immediately today after work :)

Retail therapy!!

5. To treat and cheer myself up, I decided to purchase the white iPhone4, since I don’t want to wait any longer for the 5.  

White is the new black ;)

Oh, I'm not a chocoholic .. most of the things at the outlet are for my family that will be visiting next month and in HK (@ Stella, Jim & auntie Ling) ..
